Who it suits

You need one document, now.

A procurement form asks what accessibility testing you have done. A tender needs evidence attached by Friday. A client, an insurer or a grant body wants something on paper. A new site is about to go live and you would like a baseline written down before it does.

In all of those, what you need is a dated record of a real test, produced by someone other than yourself, that you can attach to an email. That is exactly what this is, and buying a year of monitoring to get it would be a waste of your money.

Who it does not suit

You want to show the work over time.

If what you need is evidence that you found problems in March, fixed most of them by May and have been checking ever since, a single audit cannot give you that, and neither can anything bought after the fact. That record only exists if something was writing it down the whole way through. Plans for that start at $49 a month, and you can compare them here.

Buying the one-off first does not stop you doing that later. It is simply not credited against a plan, so if you already know you want monitoring, start there instead.

Not sure yet?

Scan a single page free, with no account and no card, and read what comes back. It is the same engine and the same wording as the paid audit, just one page instead of 50.

The sequence

What happens after you pay

  1. Add the site

One address, the home page. We work outwards from there, so you do not have to list anything.

  2. Prove you control the domain

Either a DNS TXT record or a small file you upload. We check both, so whichever is easier for you is fine. This check exists so the scanner cannot be pointed at somebody else's site.

  3. Run the scan

Press scan. We load up to 50 pages in a real Chromium browser, wait for scripts to finish, and run axe-core against each rendered page. It takes a few minutes and we request pages one at a time.

  4. Generate the PDF

One click, and the credit is spent at this point rather than at checkout. If the scan fails or finds nothing to work with, your credit is still sitting there unspent. The finished record stays in your account and you can download it again any time.

Questions

Things worth knowing first

Is this a compliance certificate?

No, and nobody can honestly sell you one. Whether a site meets its legal obligations is a judgement about the whole thing, made by people, against how users with disabilities actually experience it. Automated testing is one input to that, not a verdict on it.

What the PDF states is narrower and true: these pages were tested on this date with this tool against this standard, and here is precisely what it found.

How is this different from your free scan?

The free scan covers one page and the results arrive by email. This covers up to 50 pages across your site and produces a downloadable, dated PDF you can attach to something and hand to somebody else.

What exactly does one payment buy?

One audit credit. A credit lets you add one site, verify it, scan it, and generate one PDF record. Buy another credit whenever you need another audit; there is no limit and no expiry.

Do you sell an accessibility widget or overlay?

No, deliberately. Overlays adjust presentation and cannot fix missing alt text, broken heading order, unlabelled form fields or keyboard traps, because those live in your HTML. In April 2025 the Federal Trade Commission fined the largest overlay vendor one million dollars over claims about what its software could do.

Can I scan a site I do not own?

Not with this. A full site scan requires proving you control the domain, with a DNS record or a file we ask you to upload. If you want to look at a page you do not control, the free single-page scan is there for that.

Before you buy

Automated testing detects roughly 30-40% of WCAG success criteria. It cannot determine whether a site is legally compliant, and it is not a substitute for manual review and assistive-technology testing. This report is a record of what automated checks found on the date shown - nothing more, and nothing less.

This is a one-time charge of $149 in US dollars. It is not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing renews. The PDF is a record of an automated test on a date, which is a real and useful thing to hold, and it is not a certificate, a legal opinion or protection from anything.
